Anupam Tripathi is a South Korean actor of Indian origin. He is from New Delhi, India. He is famous for his role as Ali Abdul on the Netflix original series Squid Game (2021).
Hardly anyone knew him before Squid Game. After this series, Anupam became famous all over the world overnight.
In January 2020, when Anupam went back to South Korea from home, the Korean Casting Agency contacted him. He auditioned and what was then, Anupam was selected for Squid Game. Since he has played the role of a Pakistani expatriate in the series.
